Business Transformation – Senior Associate (Product Owner)

SGV's Business Transformation practice is seeking motivated, creative and dynamic professionals who are practical, rigorous and driven to deliver tangible results.

Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis & Design
    • Conduct business process reviews and walkthroughs to understand and analyze the current state of operations, including organizational structures and supporting technology.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement based on current-state reviews and industry leading practices.
    • Document business processes following industry-leading standards for process modelling, or as required by client.
    • Assist in the elicitation and refinement of requirements, detailing the design of identified improvement opportunities.
    • Understand business needs, analyze requirements, and translate them into actionable product features and functional requirements.
    • Write clear and well-structured business requirements and documentation.
    • Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholder groups.
    • Collaborate with QA teams to validate the developed solutions.
    • Review the work completed by an Associate Product Owner.
  • Product Architecture and Prioritization
    • Assist in defining the epics and features of product.
    • Manage and monitor product backlog.
    • Recommend prioritization methods to be used for managing the product backlog.
    • Facilitate the prioritization of the product backlog based on a value-based framework.
    • Align business processes with industry-leading solution capabilities.
    • Monitor the delivery of product features.
  • Change Management
    • Conduct change impact analysis, including identification of change interventions.
    • Facilitate training needs analysis.
    • Collaborate with training teams to develop materials.
    • Prepare change and communications plans on the purpose and impact of the change.
  • You will work closely with a Lead Product Owner who will oversee your work in client engagements.
  • Additional Expectations
    • Develop and maintain your personal training and development plan to ensure you continue to update and improve your skill profile on an ongoing basis.
    • Adhere to the independence, quality and risk management policies of the firm.
    • Co-facilitate trainings and workshops, if any.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, and information systems
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a business analyst or product owner
  • In-depth experience and application of business process modelling and requirements engineering frameworks such as BPMN and BABOK
  • Experience in using business and data analysis tools
  • The ability to demonstrate integrity, personal leadership and teaming
  • The ability to analyse complex data sets, identify patterns, and derive meaningful insights to support decision-making and problem-solving
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated creativity in solving problems and in visualizing ideas
Preferred but not required
  • Interested in pursuing a long-term career in Business Transformation
  • Understands the product development lifecycle and software development lifecycle
  • Basic technical understanding to communicate effectively with development teams and comprehend technical constraints
  • Training and certifications in Business Analysis and Product Ownership such as CBAP, CSPO, ECBA, CCBA
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and foster a positive team environment
  • Good collaboration skills: contribute ideas to the team to complete and improve project output
  • Exposure to operating models in Government & Public Sector, Financial Services, Consumer Product and Retail, IT-BPM, Health & Life Sciences, Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, Industrials & Energy
  • Willingness to work on client sites within or beyond Metro Manila
