The Accounts Executive (AA) plays a crucial role in driving new business acquisition and managing existing client relationships. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, onboarding new clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of events for both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
The Accounts Executive (AA) reports to the Business Development Manager/Director of Account Management and works closely with the Design and Development and Partner Services departments.
II. Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe general responsibilities of the Accounts Executive are, but not limited to the following:
a) Business Development- Research and identify potential new clients in target markets.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to generate leads and secure new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and logistics teams regarding program needs and requirements, ensuring smooth overall execution of a program.
- Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and proactive problem-solving.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful planning and execution of events.
- Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Assist in the planning and execution of events, including venue sourcing, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
- Track project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate client records and update CRM systems.
- Prepare client/program needs reports, costing, and proposals.
- Prepare sales reports, trackers, and other monitoring requirements.
- Process invoices and track payments.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending internal briefings and workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
The ideal Account Executive (AE) has the following characteristics and credentials:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years relevant experience in business development, sales, account management in an advertising, marketing or events agency.
- Relevant customer support experience specific to project management and events organization.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good spoken and written English communication skills.
- Able to work independently and is resourceful.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
