Job Description

The Data Testing Expert is responsible for validating data sources and ingestion pipelines, data integration and extraction processes, testing transformation logic, and ensuring the correctness of target tables and files. The role requires strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. The primary objective is to safeguard quality throughout the data pipeline, utilizing analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough testing of data flows, pipelines, and integration points to identify discrepancies, errors, and data quality issues.

  • Verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency from source to destination.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and issues.

  • Perform performance testing to assess system scalability, response times, and resource utilization.

  • Conduct regression testing to ensure updates do not introduce new issues or affect existing functionality.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in QA, Testing, or Development.

  • At least 2 years of advanced SQL experience.

  • At least 2 years of data automation experience.

Educational Background and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.

  • Strong knowledge of advanced SQL.

  • Proficiency in scripting and test automation tools, including Python and SQL.

  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, and data quality policies.
