Our client started the international freight services providing business in 1993. Currently, operates as an international logistics service and solution provider, providing import and export services by sea and air, customs clearance services, domestic transportation services, cross-border services, and warehousing, as well as affiliated companies in many leading countries to support the needs of customers continuously and quickly.
Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
A Sales Support role is an independent position responsible for administrative tasks, assisting the sales team, interacting and collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, and managing third-party partners. This role requires the ability to handle commercial matters, pricing, operations, and customer service while providing essential support to ensure effective sales operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary function:
- Responsible for rates sourcing and tariff updating from Accredited Network Agents, Co-loaders, Third Party Suppliers, Shipping Lines, and Airlines.
- To administer sales support functions towards strengthening sales and marketing initiatives by the Business Development Team.
- To provide sales support to Sales personnel requiring assistance such as quotation preparation in urgent situations, agent's coordination, administrative functions within Sales, Operations, and other relevant responsibilities.
- Tasked to ensure that Bookings and Shipping instructions from the sales team are in order prior to turnover to operations.
Administrative Functions:
- Receiving accomplished SI from Sales Personnel to double-check the accuracy of details, especially the indicated buying rates, to avoid errors prior to turnover of SI to operations.
- Weekly consolidation of reports for Sales Personnel such as Itineraries, Pipeline, Forecast, and other reports required by the General Manager.
- Freight negotiations with Shipping lines, Airlines, Third Party Suppliers, Co-Loaders, and Agents.
- Consolidation of supplier documentary requirements and details for Accreditation.
- Respond to RFQ's and RFP's from Agents, Sales requests, and other internal customers.
- Tariff updating and consolidation of rates from suppliers, carriers, and sub-cons.
- Adhere to the compliance & ethics policies of the company.
- Processing inbound queries from customers, company branches, and accredited agents.
- Clients pre-qualification processes with guidance from the General Manager.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned by the General Manager.

Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience as a Sales support in the international freight industry, preferably from an International Freight Forwarder and shipping lines.
- Must have a commercial and pricing understanding.
- Ability in commercial, pricing, operations, and customer service.
- Have a technical understanding to support the requirements of the sales person.
- Experience in handling RFQ's and bidding for the companies.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, Outlook, social media and digital platforms, and logistics systems – advantageous.
- Excellent English skills in both written and oral.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to cope with repetitive or continuous support queries.
