JOB SUMMARY

The Lead, Labor Relations is responsible for the processing and disposition of the Company's administrative cases, under the direct supervision of the Head, Labor Relations, and with the assistance of the Labor Relations Associates. He/She shall assist the Head, Labor Relations in all legal proceedings of cases involving Labor Relations, such as, but not limited to: SEnA Cases; Labor Disputes within the Company (union grievances), DOLE (voluntary arbitration or compliance proceedings), and NLRC (compulsory arbitration).

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Manages administrative cases and provides support for labor cases of the MIESCOR group.
  • Conducts legal assessment on the Incident Report submitted to LR and drafts the necessary Notice to Explain to start the administrative case processes.
  • Closely monitors the administrative case processes and ensures that the timelines are within the SLA prescribed by CLR.
  • Conducts Administrative and Clarificatory Conferences, and drafts the necessary CLR Case Report and Recommendation, and the subsequent Notice of Decision with the approval of the Head of Labor Relations.
  • Represents MIESCOR in various labor-related proceedings such as SEnA, Mandatory Conference before the Labor Arbiters, DOLE, and the likes; and makes active participation therein through negotiations and/or settlement of cases.
  • Provide support for all Labor Relations concerns of MIESCOR's subsidiaries.
  • Handles the implementation of labor relations policies, programs, and activities.
  • Manages the compliance of management and employees with labor laws and standards and to the company's Code of Conduct.
  • Attends to inquiries pertaining labor relations.
  • All other functions as may be tasked by the Heads of Corporate Labor Relations or Labor Relations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferably a Graduate of Juris Doctor degree/ Graduate of Legal Management (preferably a new member of the Bar)
  • Experience in Labor Relations can be considered as an edge but not required.
  • Preferably with at least three (3) years of work experience in the same field
