About Our Client

Our client is a ship manning agency (oil and gas industry) providing quality high performing and value orientated ship personnel at all levels.

Job Description

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Responsible for overall financial accounting, reporting, tax, and audit matters
  • Ensure monthly profit and loss accounts are prepared and sent to HQ on a timely basis
  • Main liaison person with auditors and ensure audit is completed in a timely manner
  • Main liaison person with BIR and tax agents and ensure tax returns are filed in a timely manner

Accounts Payable

  • Ensure the AP team does proper tracking of invoices; ensure all suppliers\' invoices are accurately verified on a timely basis by relevant departments
  • Ensure payments are prepared correctly and in a timely manner
  • Ensure accurate coding of the invoices into the accounting system
  • Ensure the payments made are recorded in the books and match off with suppliers\' invoices
  • Liaison person with vendors
  • Overall in charge for crew payroll process

Billing, Credit Control and Accounts Receivable

  • Ensure accurate billing of invoices to clients and in a timely manner
  • Tracking of status of accounts receivables and follow up with clients on payments and disputes
  • Prepares credit control reports and statement of accounts and maintain disputes list and aging reports
  • Ensure receipts are posted accurately and matching is done

Treasury

  • Ensure accurate preparation of bank reconciliations;
  • Preparation of cashflow related reports where necessary;
  • Liaison person with banks
The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounting Manager should have:

  • Accounting Graduate/ Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Detailed and meticulous and possess strong MS Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and possess excellent time management skills
  • Detailed and meticulous and possess strong problem solving skills
  • Possess a "Can-Do" attitude and is comfortable with hands-on work
  • Prior experience with ERP systems a must
