Job Description Job Summary The E-commerce Fulfillment Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing and delivery of online orders. This role involves managing inventory, coordinating with warehouse staff, processing orders, and resolving any fulfillment-related issues to ensure customer satisfaction. The Fulfillment Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and reliable order fulfillment process, contributing to the overall success of the e-commerce operations. Responsibilities: Order Processing: Receive and process online orders accurately and efficiently. Verify order information and ensure all details are correct before processing. Prioritize orders based on shipping method and delivery deadlines. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages. Conduct regular inventory checks and audits. Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels. Warehouse Coordination: Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders. Provide clear instructions and guidelines for order fulfillment. Oversee the packaging process to ensure items are securely packed and labeled correctly. Shipping and Delivery: Select appropriate shipping methods based on cost, delivery time, and customer preferences. Generate shipping labels and prepare packages for shipment. Track shipments and monitor delivery status to ensure timely arrival. Quality Control: Inspect orders for accuracy and quality before shipment. Ensure items meet company quality standards. Address any quality issues or discrepancies promptly. Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping information, and delivery issues. Resolve fulfillment-related complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner. Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all orders, shipments, and inventory transactions. Update order status and tracking information in the system. Generate reports on order fulfillment metrics and performance. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of the order fulfillment process. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in e-commerce fulfillment. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus. Experience: Proven experience in e-commerce fulfillment, warehouse operations, or a related field. Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills; excellent attention to detail and accuracy; proficiency in using e-commerce platforms and order management systems; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; strong communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
