HR Officer/HR Generalist

Job Description HR Officer supports the HR department in implementing and maintaining various HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, training, records management, and compliance. The role provides administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of daily HR activities. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Recruitment and Onboarding Post job openings on various recruitment platforms and company portals. Screen applications, shortlist candidates, and coordinate interview schedules. Assist in conducting initial interviews and background checks. Prepare new hire documentation and facilitate employee onboarding and orientation. 2. Employee Records and Documentation Maintain accurate and confidential employee files and HR databases. Update employee information such as attendance, leaves, and performance data. Prepare HR letters and reports as needed. 3. HR Administration Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures. Assist in preparing employment contracts, letters, and notices. Handle day-to-day HR inquiries from employees. 4. Employee Relations Assist in organizing employee engagement, recognition, and welfare programs. Help address employee queries and elevate concerns to senior HR staff when needed. Promote positive workplace relations and compliance with company values. 5. Training and Development Coordinate and schedule training sessions or workshops. Maintain training attendance records and feedback forms. Assist in tracking employee skill development and training needs. 6. Payroll and Benefits Assistance Support the payroll team by providing attendance and leave data. Assist in benefits enrollment and maintaining benefits-related documentation. 7. Compliance and Health & Safety Ensure HR activities comply with labor laws, company policies, and safety standards. Support HR audits and help maintain compliance records. Qualifications and Requirements Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management , Business Administration , Psychology , or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP , PHR , CHRP ) are an advantage but not required. Experience 0–2 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role (internship experience acceptable). Familiarity with HR functions and best practices preferred. Skills and Competencies Good understanding of HR processes (recruitment, training, employee relations). Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems. Basic knowledge of labor laws and employee regulations. Personal Attributes Detail-oriented and dependable.
