Process Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Functions Manages maintenance technicians, performs maintenance activities, schedules employees and coordinates activities to keep manufacturing plant running as scheduled. Oversees and assists in repairs of breakdowns, alignment, troubleshooting and operations of building and plant equipment. Handles preventative maintenance program. Detailed Functions Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, logic controllers, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment. Performs maintenance tasks such as preventative maintenance, tag‑out/lock‑out, installations, conveyor system, pumping system, hydraulic system, compressed air system, cooling towers, and responding to emergencies. Coordinates maintenance work with other sections, contractors, and engineers; estimates time, materials, and equipment required for repairs; examines electro‑mechanical systems and makes recommendations for new equipment, repairs, and modifications. Inspects electro mechanical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and ensures compliance with codes. Coaches team members in troubleshooting techniques, maintenance, and repair of plant systems. Assures preventive maintenance and repairs to production equipment conform to standards and are coordinated with production schedules to prevent delays. Leads development and implementation of process improvement of reliability plans in the plant. Monitors hazardous and unsafe situations and develops measures to assure personnel safety. Corrects unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority. Ensures Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and regularly reviewed, updated and communicated. Ensures accidents and near misses are documented, investigated at the root cause level and improvements implemented. Ensures safety inspections, fire drills, fire alarms, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of responsibilities. Ensures the Company meets statutory obligations in health, safety and welfare at work, including training and reporting. Ensures completion and review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations. Controls and monitors oil, water, and energy usage. Conducts root cause analysis of downtime issues to prevent recurrence. Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority, equipment quantity and personnel skill to minimize down time. Develops and executes preventative maintenance plans for manufacturing and test equipment. Optimizes and manages inventory of equipment spare parts and consumables. Recommends and implements best practices to build a culture of safety, quality and reliability. Counsels employees about work‑related issues and assists in correcting job‑skill deficiencies. Conducts or arranges worker training in safety, repair, maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use. May perform maintenance and repair duties. Schedules outside contractors for major repairs and monitors their work. Manages performance and development of maintenance personnel through feedback, reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition. Manages calibration systems with appropriate records. Maintains records of preventive maintenance and repair work; prepares reports, documentation, and correspondence. Ensures compliance in quality and productivity programs (GMP and 5S); good housekeeping of plant. Monitors compliance with QHSE standards and follows up on non‑conformance to ensure corrective actions are implemented. Minimum Qualifications Degree in Bachelor of Science Engineering and licensed. With at least 5 years working experience in manufacturing and hand on experience in Engineering & Maintenance environment. Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Willing to work on-site and render overtime or shifting schedules if required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
