Consultant Accountant (Part-Time)

Kippap Learning Corp. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. We are an online learning platform specializing in review programs for the Civil Engineering Licensure Exam in the Philippines. Our ideal candidate is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring robust compliance for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This is a vital role for us as we build our financial foundation from the ground up, so we are looking for a true partner, not just a service provider.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the Philippines.

Responsibilities

Financial System Setup & Strategy:

• Collaborate with the management team to design and implement robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all financial processes, including sales recording, revenue recognition for installment payments, and expense tracking.
• Advise on and oversee the integration of our online payment gateways and other business tools with our cloud-based accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks).
• Provide strategic guidance on business decisions by helping to model financial scenarios and analyze key metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV).

Government Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure timely and accurate filing and remittance of all required government reports and contributions, including those for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Pag-IBIG Fund.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external audits or government inquiries, specifically a potential BIR tax audit.
• Prepare and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement) and present them to management in a clear, easy-to-understand format.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

• Provide regular, constructive supervision to our in-house bookkeeper to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all day-to-day financial records.
• Act as a dedicated mentor to our accounting interns, providing them with hands-on training and guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping our interns develop the skills necessary for a future leadership role, by involving them in financial analysis, process documentation, and strategic projects.

Experience

• Proven experience in a similar consulting or part-time accounting role, with a strong understanding of Philippine taxation and accounting standards.
• A track record of successfully guiding startups or small businesses through their early stages of growth, demonstrating an understanding of lean operations and scalable processes.
• Direct experience with BIR tax audit preparation and compliance is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Expert proficiency in cloud-based accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks Online is a must.
• Familiarity with various financial tools and their integrations (e.g., payroll software, payment gateways).
