SEM Team Leader

Overview SiteMinder Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines Join SiteMinder as the SEM Team Leader for Hotel Ads (Demand Plus). The role leads and scales the team responsible for ad management on SiteMinder's Hotel Ads Platform, with direct management of SEM Specialists in the Philippines and the remit to establish and grow a new team in Bangkok. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, deep paid ads expertise across platforms, and the ability to foster a high-performance culture and the ongoing development of SEM specialists. SiteMinder is the world’s leading open hotel commerce platform, supporting hotels in 150 countries with millions of reservations processed each year. What You Will Do Team Leadership & Management: Lead, manage, and motivate a large team of SEM Specialists in the Philippines, with 4 SEM Team Leads reporting directly. Build a new team of SEM Specialists in Bangkok within 12 months, including writing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires. Conduct weekly coaching sessions and daily huddles. Set weekly targets for the SEM team in collaboration with the Demand Plus Business Manager. Assess candidates during interviews in partnership with Talent Acquisition. Paid Ads Campaign Management & Optimization: Manage Paid Ads Campaigns across multiple platforms. Oversee the Demand Plus paid ads portfolio, recommending and enacting changes to portfolio and campaign structures. Develop competitive assessments of campaigns to meet client targets. Conduct testing of strategies across metasearch partners and ad platforms. Coordinate with SEM Team Leads to identify weekly trends and process/tools issues. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Develop and facilitate process training for SEM team members. Report technical issues to relevant teams and collaborate to resolve. Work with cross-functional teams on product development and beta testing. Maintain Demand Plus essentials and support channels, and address Google Business Listing match/mismatch issues for metasearch partners. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with People & Culture for team development, align SEM strategies with business objectives with senior leadership, and escalate urgent issues to stakeholders. What You Have Proven experience in managing and leading large digital marketing or SEM teams. Extensive experience with paid ads campaigns across diverse platforms and strong digital performance marketing understanding. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights. Experience in setting up and scaling new teams or business units, preferably internationally. Ability to set and achieve ambitious targets and communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Comfort in fast-paced, high-growth environments with ambiguity and decisive action. Pragmatic, solution-focused mindset and ability to work with unfamiliar concepts and identify levers to drive outcomes. Experience in the hotel distribution or travel technology industry is a plus.
