Business Development Associate (Innovation Consulting) TechShake Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines Job Summary As an Innovation Consulting, you will be part of TechShake’s Innovation Consulting team and play a vital role in supporting global clients—primarily startups and large corporations—as they explore business opportunities in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Your main tasks will include organizing business matching sessions, conducting market research, and growing strategic networks. This is a client-facing role that requires analytical thinking, cultural fluency, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Matching Coordinate and facilitate one-on-one business meetings (matchings or mentoring sessions) between TechShake clients and potential partners. Identify prospective local companies aligned with the client’s business goals. Schedule, monitor, and report completed sessions to clients for billing purposes. Maintain strong communication with international stakeholders throughout the matching cycle. 2. Market Research Conduct in-depth market and industry research for clients, particularly in preparation for market entry strategies. Provide country-specific data on industry trends, market potential, economic conditions, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment. Prepare progress presentations and final reports for client review, including recommendations and three relevant business matchings. 3. Network Expansion Build and maintain an active network of startups, corporates, investors, and ecosystem enablers. Attend and participate in networking events, mixers, conferences, and informal gatherings to grow TechShake’s reach. 4. Lead Generation Responsible for generating leads and nurturing prospective opportunities (details to be defined). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, International Relations, or related field. At least 1 year of experience in consulting, business development, research, or account management is preferred, but fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). Experience in B2B sales, lead generation. Preferred Background or interest in startups, innovation, or tech ecosystems. Familiarity with Southeast Asia business culture is a plus. Experience working with international trade or development organizations is a plus. Base Salary: 30,000 - 50,000 Php (Based on Skills & Experience) Dynamic, collaborative team environment. Hybrid work setup after regularization. Semi Flexible Work Schedule.
