About us

Palawan Pawnshop is now considered to be one of the most reliable, fastest-growing and leading pawnshops in the Philippines. Its first branch, owned and operated by spouses Mr. Bobby and Mrs. Angelita Castro formally opened in Puerto Princesa City on August 17, 1985 Originally established as a business offering only pawn brokering, we have expanded our services to include money remittance known as Palawan Express Pera Padala. Today, after more than 30 years in the industry, we offer our loyal customers other products and services such as international money remittance, foreign currency exchange, e-loading, bill payment, and accident insurance in all our branches in cities, municipalities, and remote towns nationwide.

Qualifications & experience
  • At least 5 years of sales direct experience in lending with a financing company, cooperative or bank preferably in SME financing or Commercial loans
  • Bachelor's Degree in any business-related course.
Tasks & responsibilities
  • Solicits potential quality loan clients.
  • Sets client calls/appointments and presents the product features to a prospective client. Inputs all client information into the system for pipeline monitoring and management.
  • Conducts initial credit investigation to determine if prospective clients meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Collects and ensures the authenticity of all documentary requirements for credit investigation, evaluation, and appraisal.
  • Creates opportunities to cross-sell Palawan Pawnshop Group products and services.
  • Prepares monthly sales plans including area mapping and listing of prospective clients (solicited and referred).
  • Regularly monitor clients’ loan payments for timely and accurate action until the loan is fully settled.
  • Conduct a loan utilization report thirty (30) days after the loan has been released to ascertain use against declared purpose, to be covered with a call report for filing in the credit folder and loans system.
  • Conducts regular maintenance calls at least once every 6 months for client interviews, validation and follow–up for renewal purposes, to be covered with a call report for filing in the credit folder and loans system.
  • Conducts client follow-up for updated requirements like tax compliance, insurance requirements, and other clearances, as required by the Credit Department.
