The Finance Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. This role involves financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and overseeing financial transactions to maintain the company’s financial health.
- Prepare in-store Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to assess branch performance.
- Conduct financial analyses, including financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting, to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial reports to track revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Identify financial risks and provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Perform account reconciliation for POS data and third-party platforms (e.g., Grab, FoodPanda, GCash, or other payment channels).
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Verify invoices, receipts, and payment records to ensure financial accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
Cash Flow & Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including maintaining optimal cash balances and ensuring timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and analyze cash flow statements to support operational and investment decisions.
Regulatory Compliance & Financial Controls:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies (e.g., BIR, SEC, DOLE compliance).
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies for financial reporting and compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions, tax filings, and compliance records.
Finance Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Supervise and provide guidance to finance team members.
- Implement best practices for financial operations and internal controls.
- Work closely with department heads to align financial strategies with business goals.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain and analyze financial dashboards using Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide data-driven financial insights to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and stakeholders.
Other Duties:
- Support the General Manager and President in financial decision-making and strategic planning.
- Participate in financial meetings, budget reviews, and business planning sessions.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
