SA - Finance Analyst (Procurement Specialist) Direct message the job poster from P&A Grant Thornton The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management processes to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of goods and services that meet business requirements. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Collaborates with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure completeness of purchase requests. Sources, evaluates, and negotiates with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. Prepares and processes purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately and promptly. Reviews and recommends orders based on specifications, cost, and budget approval. Manages supplier relationships, accreditation, and performance evaluation to ensure service quality and compliance. Reviews and renews contracts, ensuring adherence to internal policies and government regulations. Maintains up-to-date supplier databases, monitors contract validity, and oversees supplier payments and related queries. Coordinates with internal teams and vendors to resolve procurement, contractual, and payment-related issues efficiently. Ensures timely completion of all procurement activities and continuous improvement of sourcing processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing. Experience with Oracle P2P system is an advantage. Familiarity with PEZA and BOC regulations preferred. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively with various teams.
