ABOUT THE ROLE: Participate in month‑end close; preparing assigned journal entries and reconciliations. Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments. Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data. Analyze information and data by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. Assist with budget preparation and audit request. Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts and accruals. Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes. Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Submit month‑end documentation according to financial close deadlines. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Perform other related duties required and/or assigned. Handle agent customer service requests, ad hoc analysis and other job duties as assigned. ABOUT YOU: Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred. Multi‑property Experience. Five (5) years of Accounting experience. Strong Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable knowledge. PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Demonstrates analytical skills and problem‑solving skills which reflect a strong understanding of accounting concepts to a greater degree and insurance premium finance concepts to a lesser degree. Shows ability to work on a team and demonstrates flexibility to reach group goals. Works in a self‑motivated fashion requiring minimal supervision. Communicates effectively in both oral and written formats. Excellent verbal & written communication, organizational and time management skills required. Possess exceptional attention to detail and strong follow‑up skills necessary. Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group. Problem solving, reasoning, motivational and organizational abilities are used often. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while managing multiple tasks.
