Junior Accountant

Overview Junior Accountant (New Zealand Experience - Onsite) – Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone, Central Luzon, Philippines Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PHT Experience Required: Minimum 1-2 years in a New Zealand accounting firm TOA Global is committed to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. What You’ll Do Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, and understanding of latest New Zealand tax rules Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to the financial statement stage Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgements for companies, partnerships, trusts, and a range of individual businesses Assist with general bookkeeping duties Assist clients with tax planning, GST, and bookkeeping Participate in business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, and management reporting Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with the organization’s compliance requirements What We’re Looking For Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting Completed or working towards CA / CPA At least 1-2 years accounting and taxation experience within New Zealand Basic understanding of New Zealand taxation legislation (e.g., GST, FBT, Companies Act) Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable) Proficient English writing and verbal skills Excellent communication skills with strong relationship and stakeholder management Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload Collaborative, team player with the ability to build internal relationships Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics What’s in It for You?
