WHAT YOU'LL DO: Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, and knowledge of the latest New Zealand tax rules Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statement stage Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgements for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses Assist with general bookkeeping duties Assist clients with tax planning, GST, and bookkeeping Business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, and management reporting Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with the organization's compliance requirements WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting Completed or working towards CA / CPA At least 3-4 years accounting & taxation experience within New Zealand Basic understanding of New Zealand taxation legislation, including GST, FBT, Companies Act Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable) Proficient English writing and verbal skills Excellent communication skills with strong relationship and stakeholder management Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload Collaborative, team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider organization Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics What's in it for you?
