Supplier Quality Engineer

Objective Leads the management of supplier’s quality for delivered raw materials and ensures effective implementation and compliance to incoming goods requirements as per provision in the quality management system. Position in the Organization Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager Main Duties Establishes, implements, and reviews the Supplier Quality Management system suitable to meet the needs of the organization. Orients suppliers on Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and Corrective Actions Preventive Actions (CAPA) system and manages the Supplier Corrective Actions Requests (SCAR) to ensure complete and effective root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation. Provides weekly updates on the status of the Supplier Corrective Actions Requests (SCAR). Ensures no non-conforming materials are accepted or released to the organization and completes scoping applied. Performs, as required, periodic supplier surveillance as a qualified internal quality auditor. Conducts quality audit during new supplier qualification. Collaborates with Supply Chain Department (Purchasing and Warehouse Sections) for any quality-related issues with the material supply affecting the business. Reviews and updates current TRIGs as necessary and updates the sampling scheme and methodology required at incoming inspection; collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering for the required new TRIGs or FAIs. Ensures all MMDs used for incoming inspection are maintained and calibrated as scheduled and acceptable GRR studies maintained. Engages in the supplier qualification and disqualification processes. Maintains the reference documents applicable to incoming inspection and supplier quality engineering. Ensures material compliance through BOMCheck system including maintenance of the EDXRF for material testing for RoHS. Ensures all quality records are complete as required and kept on file. Responsibilities Assist in ensuring that the quality management system for VCPH comply with the Global C&C Quality Management System and with the applicable International Requirements, including, but not limited to, ISO9001, ISO13485, MDSAP, EU MDD/MDR, FDA CFR, Health Canada. Support the VCPH_VCPS Organization on achieving high quality goal and on quality continuous improvement initiatives. Managed the Incoming QA Inspectors. Reports to the QA Manager (VCPH_VCPS and VCCN) the quality status, progress and results of work. Authorities In authority to carry out all activities needed in maintaining and implementing VCPH Quality Management System. In authority to reject nonconforming purchased materials. In authority to stop running manufacturing activities that are not in compliance with the Quality Management System and/or applicable Standards and Requirements, including occupational safety and health standards. Background Graduate of an engineering course preferably in the fields of Industrial, Mechanical or Electronics /Electrical Engineering. At least five years of work experience in a manufacturing environment as a Supplier Quality Engineer preferably with ISO certification and knowledge &experience in auditing. Process-oriented and a self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new processes. Ability to work on own initiative with proactive strategic approach to challenges. Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings. Can work with least supervision. Skills Computer literate: MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Strong problem‑solving skills with advanced knowledge of quality and engineering tools, including but not limited to statistical process control (SPC) and techniques, sampling methodology (AQL), dimensional metrology, design of experiments (DOE) and quality management systems. Strong management and leadership skills. Good communication skills preferably in English language in both oral and written, including the ability to write technical reports and prepare presentations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
