MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as the department’s technical arm to support the department in the delivery of its targets by: Providing technical assistance in the review of the technical bidding documents (TBD) for Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) and Business Development (BD)/ Non-regulated Business (NRB) Projects involving process design of water and/or wastewater facilities and ensuring that the TBDs are complete and of the required quality; Consulted during technical evaluation of bids, as needed; and Review of Request for Information and Approval (RFI/A) documents endorsed by design units with the prescribed timeframe. Participates in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) meetings and acts as subject matter experts for CAPEX and BD/NRB Projects involving water and/or wastewater mechanical design. Participates and provides technical inputs in the feasibility studies of water and/or wastewater mechanical design. Initiates the updating of the Maynilad Standard Technical Specifications and Standard Drawings, and participates with the Technical Working Group (TWG) in the deliberation of new or revised standards. Handles mechanical related Technical Assistance Request (TAR) from End-Users to address operational concerns for ongoing and proposed projects. Conducts field/site investigations in relation to technical assistance requests and CAPEX/NRB/BD Projects. Engage directly with project Consultants for mechanical design concerns and make recommendations to End-Users. Provide technical support during the process proving of water and/or wastewater facilities and provide mechanical related inputs and recommendations, when needed. Enhances the skills of the Department members by: Developing training plan that will focus on mechanical design of water and/or wastewater facilities; Conducting a knowledge transfer session to PMD employees; and Arranging learning sessions with the different divisions of the Company. Does other related engineering and management tasks as may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM EDUCATION Licensed Mechanical Engineer WORK EXPERIENCE Must have at least seven (7) years of total working experience, including five (5) years in a related industry in an equivalent position and at least four (4) years of experience in supervision or management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Possesses analytical and technical competency related to the job Excellent leadership, with strong sense of responsibility, decision making, integrity and delegation skills. Excellent in oral and written communications. Knowledgeable in the local and international Mechanical Codes such as AWWA, ISO, ASME, ASHRAE, ASTM, API, PMC and NFPA Knowledge in office software such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, process design simulation software etc. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES/ATTITUDES Can lead people and demonstrate goal-oriented behavior and result driven • Can communicate effectively and clearly • Hardworking, can work under pressure and flexible With pleasant attitude and disposition.
