Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for the development and execution of key projects in compliance with company rules, processes, and best practices. The Project Manager collaborates with other departments and teams and applies best efforts to deliver project objectives through optimal budget and effective management of timelines. Responsibilities Takes responsibility for the safety of employees at project sites. Develops value engineering solutions and provides technical writing input for project planning. Manages bid qualification processes for new opportunities. Provides operational, strategic, and contractual advice and service to bid preparation and project management when associated with design management and engineering. Prepares and validates technical specifications of projects for investment committee validation. Develops a detailed project baseline schedule for comparison of bidder schedules and commercial proposals. Creates baseline project controls tools (e.g., S-curves, resource loading) to enable assessment of bid methods and delivery strategies. Develops a detailed risk register to enable risk-based comparison of bids. Ensures compliance with internal control standards in all processes impacting the reliability of financial statements. Is responsible for project development, construction, commissioning, and commercial closeout of projects. Carries out any other reasonable request from project teams. Works with key project team members and the organization to obtain information required to compile bids. Qualifications Graduate of an engineering degree, preferably with an MBA. Experience in the cement industry is preferred. Extensive experience in all phases of project management delivered through Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC). Deep understanding of the full range of risks associated with EPC contracts (technical, commercial, program, etc.). Strong project management, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills.
