The
Project Manager
is responsible for the development and execution of key projects in compliance with the Company rules, processes, and best practices. The Project Manager is expected to collaborate with other Department/teams, and will expend best efforts to create value to sustainably deliver the project objectives through optimal budget and effective management of project timelines.

  • Takes responsibility for the safety of employees at the project sites
  • Develop value engineering solutions and technical writing input for project planning
  • Manage bid qualification process for new opportunities
  • Provide operational, strategic and contractual advice and service to bid preparation and project management when associated with design management and engineering
  • Prepares and validates technical specifications of the projects for investment committee validation
  • Develop a detailed project baseline schedule for comparative assessment of bidder schedules and commercial proposals
  • Develop baseline project controls tools (e.g. S-curves, resource loading) to enable assessment of bid methods and delivery strategies
  • Develop a detailed risk register to enable risk based comparative assessment of bids
  • Ensures compliance with internal control standards in all processes having an impact to reliability of financial statements
  • Responsible for project development, construction, commissioning and commercial close out of projects.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request from project teams
  • Working with key members of the project team and the organization to obtain the information required to compile the bid

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Engineering degree, preferably with MBA
  • Working experience in cement industry is preferred
  • Extensive experience in all phases of projects management delivered through Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)
  • Keen understanding of the full range of risks associated with EPC contracts (technical, commercial, program etc. )
  • Project management, vendor management and stakeholder management
