Job Description Database Administration: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL and MongoDB databases. Ensure optimal database performance, security, and availability. Monitor database health and proactively address potential issues. Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures. Optimize database queries and indexes to improve performance. Database Security: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Enforce data access controls and monitor user activity. Database Performance Tuning: Analyze database performance metrics and identify bottlenecks. Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize query execution. Monitor database resource utilization and adjust configurations as needed. Database Migration: Plan and execute database migrations to new hardware or software versions. Minimize downtime and data loss during migration processes. Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from various sources into the database. Ensure data consistency and integrity across different systems. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly. Troubleshoot performance problems, data corruption, and security breaches. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator. In-depth knowledge of SQL and MongoDB database systems. Strong understanding of database concepts, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerShell). Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
