Quality Assurance Analyst – Navotas (QAC Position)

Job Description

Qualifications :

  • Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, BS Food Technology or any relevant course (Professional Licensure or relevant certification is an advantage).
  • At least two (2) years of related experience as QAC Staff in a food manufacturing industry. Trainings and seminars on QMS, Food Safety, cGWP/cGMP are a plus.
  • Willing to work in Navotas City

Application of Skills and Abilities

Supports the implementation of all policies, processes and initiatives in the following QAC functions/facets:

  • Quality Assurance and Control
    • Monitors execution of quality and food safety plans during blending operations.
    • Checks the condition and accuracy of all raw materials in terms of quality, expiry, traceability, weight and other details prior to production use.
    • Validates the product for rework prior to production use through visual inspection.
    • Checks and monitors compliance to approved manufacturing procedures specifically established parameters, specifications and product process flow.
    • Monitors and provides feedback concerning pest control within blending area.
    • Verifies daily production monitoring.
    • Conducts sampling of GIPs for testing and evaluation prior to packaging.
    • Monitors and ensures materials are used and processed under proper environmental conditions as required by material specifications.
    • Works closely with Production Department - Blending Section to ensure compliance to established standards, parameters and specifications.
    • Prepares Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for GIPs with off specifications and deviations.
    • Collaborates with Production Department and monitors NCRs and Corrective Actions regularly.
    • Prepares monthly summary reports on NC Reports and Corrective Actions as reference to the status of products with complaints to External Providers.
  • cGWP/cGMP and other Quality-related standards
    • Assists the QAC Supervisor in implementing, monitoring, evaluating and improving cGWP/cGMP, Food Safety, HACCP and other quality standards in blending.
    • Gathers and checks cGWP/cGMP Deviation Reports in addition to NCR and recommends corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
    • Assists in preparing and conducting in-house seminars on cGMP, cGWP, Food Safety and HACCP in coordination with HRDA.
    • Assists in product knowledge/orientation and refresher courses for new/existing employees focusing on technical modules.
  • Quality Management System
    • Works with the QAC Department to implement QAC policies, procedures, work instructions and forms/checklists aligned with ISO 9001:2015.
    • Attends and participates in QMS trainings, meetings and audits.
    • Supports continuous improvement of work practices and processes in the Department.
  • QAC Reports and Analytics
    • Generates and maintains QAC reports/records including:
    • QAC BSC-OGSM Performance (monthly) including Financial, Customer, Internal Business Process, Innovation, Learning and Growth
    • Corrective Action Reports from QMS Audit & NC Reports
    • cGWP/cGMP Deviation Reports
    • Inspection Monitoring - blending area

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : From Php16,000.00 per month

Schedule :

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types :

  • 13th month salary
  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate :

  • Navotas: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education :

  • Bachelor’s (preferred)

Experience :

  • QA: 1 year (preferred)
