Senior Account Manager for Brand Communications
The Senior Account Manager (SAM) is a key leadership role within the Brand Communications team, bridging strategy and execution across multiple accounts. The SAM is responsible for leading Account Managers and their teams, ensuring high-quality campaign delivery, building strategic client relationships, and driving the growth of the agency’s portfolio. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, client management, and operational oversight.
Functions and ResponsibilitiesClient & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients; manage escalations and strategic discussions.
- Develop long-term client strategies that align with business objectives and agency vision.
- Mentor Account Managers on client handling, communication, and campaign planning.
- Lead development of integrated communication campaigns across media, digital, and influencer channels.
- Review and approve campaign strategies, timelines, budgets, and deliverables prepared by Account Managers and their teams.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging and campaign quality across all accounts.
- Supervise and mentor Account Managers, Account Executives, and Media & KOL Coordinators.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training or development programs.
Media & Influencer Oversight
- Support Account Managers in high-profile media relations, influencer, and KOL engagements.
- Ensure influencer partnerships and media campaigns meet strategic objectives and ROI expectations.
Project & Resource Management
- Oversee allocation of accounts and campaigns across AMs, AEs, and Coordinators, ensuring balanced workloads.
- Monitor timelines, budgets, and campaign performance, escalating issues as needed.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Approve client reports prepared by AEs and Coordinators, adding strategic insights.
- Evaluate campaign performance metrics and recommend improvements.
Crisis & Reputation Management
- Lead crisis communications planning and response for client accounts.
- Advise clients and teams on proactive risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in PR, brand communications, or agency account management.
- Proven ability to lead multiple accounts and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience.
- Established network of media and influencer contacts.
