Senior TESL/TEFL Trainer

Position Summary The Senior TESL/TEFL Trainer is a critical role responsible for the successful delivery, mentorship, and quality assurance of our 120-hour TESL/TEFL Certification Program. The Trainer ensures that all curriculum delivery and student assessments meet the rigorous standards required for both local (TESDA) and prospective international accreditation (e.g., ITEFLAC/ACCET). The ideal candidate is an experienced, highly certified adult educator with a strong commitment to professional compliance and on-site leadership. Key Responsibilities Training & Mentorship - Curriculum Delivery: Lead dynamic, in-person training sessions for adult trainees, covering all core modules (methodology, language awareness, phonology, classroom management, etc.). - Practicum Supervision: Supervise, observe, and provide comprehensive, constructive feedback during trainees' teaching practice sessions. - Mentorship: Guide trainees through lesson planning, materials preparation, and portfolio development, ensuring readiness for the global teaching market. Quality Assurance & Compliance - Assessment: Conduct and grade all internal and external assessments, ensuring fairness, reliability, and adherence to established grading rubrics. - Accreditation Support: Work closely with the Head of Academics to prepare documentation, audit files, and internal processes necessary for maintaining and acquiring local and international program accreditation. - Program Integrity: Ensure strict adherence to the program's defined schedule, course outline, and attendance policy, in line with regulatory requirements. Professional Development - Participate actively in team meetings, curriculum review sessions, and continuous professional development workshops. - Maintain personal knowledge of current trends and best practices in the field of TESOL and adult education. Essential Requirements - Education: Master’s Degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a closely related field. - Professional Certification: Advanced teacher training certification (CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent Diploma-level certification). - Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience specifically in training or mentoring adult TESL/TEFL students. Compliance & Location: - Must commit to a full-time, on-site schedule in Mandaue City, Cebu. - Must possess or be willing to immediately acquire the National TVET Trainer Certificate (NTTC) or Trainer Methodology (TM) 1 for local compliance. Language Proficiency: Native or near-Native English fluency (CEFR C2) with excellent presentation and communication skills.
