Job Description- The Sales Manager is primarily responsible for the supervision of the efforts of sales consultants related to generation of sales of automotive units and ancillary services such as financing and insurance. He / she may be directly involved in selling activities unilaterally or in support of sales consultants
- 1. Performs job functions consistent with the corporate vision and mission statements and the core values of the company; ensures that subordinate employees perform their respective functions in like manner.
- 2. Plans, organizes, and controls the operation and activities of the work unit; prepares and secures approval of the budget in support of such operation and activities.
- 3. Participates in the operational planning process for the determination of sales forecasts and targets and the formulation of sales strategies and activities to meet such targets.
- 4. Provides on-the-job training and mentoring for sales Consultants on product knowledge and selling skills.
- 5. Prepares for and undertakes presentations together with the Sales Consultant for prospective corporate clients for fleet accounts; represents the company in meetings with corporate clients; conducts follow-up on initial selling activities to convert to actual sales.
- 6. Monitors actual performance of Sales Consultants during regular meetings or one-on-one discussions; provides emphasis on generating quality sales, compliance with financial guidelines and requirements, and equal attention to the selling of ancillary business services such as financing, insurance, and extended warranty.
- 7. Coordinates with the Finance Department and Ancillary Business Officer on the processing of financing and insurance coverage for customers.
- 8. Undertakes selling activities unilaterally or in support of the Sales Consultants.
- 9. Develops action plans and mechanics on and coordinates the implementation of programmed promotional activities; participates in special projects such as off-site promotions and displays.
- 10. Provides data on competitor activities and submits these to superiors to serve as basis for marketing management.
- 11. Monitors the acceptability of delivery of automotive units to the customers through face-to-face interactions in order to assure product quality, timeliness of delivery, and consistency with the terms and conditions of the sale.
- 12. Entertains complaints, problems, and concerns brought up by customers as referred by the Sales Consultants; provides immediate remedial action within limits of authority or refers to superior officers for corresponding action.
- 13. Monitors physical configuration, cleanliness and order of showroom and the professional external projection of the Sales Consultants to ensure positive corporate imaging.
- 15. Attends trainings programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional and technical proficiencies.
- 16. Consolidates performance reports of Sales Consultants, submits summary reports with corresponding analysis and recommendations.
- 17. Participates in collegial planning for policies, procedures and systems, problem solving, decision making and performance monitoring through participation in standing and ad hoc committees, task forces, and project teams.
- 18. Supervises and controls planned and intervening activities of subordinate officers and employees concerning the performance of their job functions and completion of task assignments in accordance with prescribed standards, in the process providing motivational approaches, training and development, coaching, and counseling, or disciplinary action as needed.
- 19. Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and / or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to generate innovative ideas. Proficiency in marketing analytics and tools for tracking and measuring campaign performance.
