Job role: Employee Benefits Insurance Broker (Manager/Senior Manager)

Report to: SAVP, Client Servicing Team, Employee Benefits, Howden Philippines

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to retain clients and build long-term partnerships.

Needs Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand client's specific needs and objectives.
  • Analyze the existing employee benefits programs and identify areas for renewal improvements.
  • Help clients manage and control the costs of their benefits.
  • Provide strategies for cost containment.

Market Research and Plan Design:

  • Identify the insurance market to find the best plans and carriers.
  • Design customized employee benefits plans that align with client's goals and budget.
  • Present multiple options and explain the benefits and drawbacks of each.

Negotiation:

  • Negotiate with insurance carriers to secure the best rates and terms for the client.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and relationships to obtain favorable terms for clients.

Employee Communication and Education:

  • Conduct in-person or online sessions to brief employees on their benefits.
  • Provide ongoing support to answer employee/HR questions and resolve issues.

Claims Management:

  • Assist in claim escalations from HR or employees.
  • Act as a liaison between employee and insurance carriers to resolve claims issues, if applicable.

Renewals:

  • Review performance of the insurance plans to ensure they continue to meet client needs.
  • Recommend changes to the plans based on client feedback and/or industry trends.
  • Conduct remarketing exercises to compare terms against existing carriers.
  • Provide claim analysis reports to inform clients of claim trends.

  • Drive collaborated actions for MBTC and AXA that yield a win-win result for both parties.
  • Ensure compliance with Bank's policies and regulatory requirements, including KYC responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5-7 years work experience with a proven track record in investment sales
  • Experience in private wealth/private banking or investment portfolio management for high net-worth clients
  • Relevant banking experience
  • Licensed in SEC Fixed Income/SEC Equity/CIS/TCP is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics and current investment trends
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Team management and cross-selling capabilities
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel as needed
