Director of Operations (EV Charging) - Philippines

Location: Manila (nationwide travel) • Function: Network Ops, Field Maintenance, Customer Ops • Type: Full time

Mission: Own day-to-day performance of a nationwide EV charging network—safety, uptime, cost, and customer experience—while scaling from pilot to thousands of ports.

What you’ll do
  • Uptime & reliability: Hit SLA targets for charger/network availability; run 24/7 monitoring, incident response, and root-cause elimination.
  • Field operations: Build and lead regional tech teams and vendors; manage preventive/corrective maintenance, spares, and site standards.
  • NOC & systems: Operate the network via backend/OCPP, CMMS, ticketing, and analytics dashboards; define alarms, playbooks, and on-call.
  • Commissioning & quality: Own site acceptance, metering accuracy, safety checks, and QA/QC from energization through steady state.
  • Safety & compliance: Implement EHS programs aligned to Philippine Electrical Code; oversee permits, audits, and regulatory reporting (DOE/ERC/LGUs).
  • Energy & costs: Optimize tariffs, demand charges, and EMS; evaluate solar/storage for resilience and cost savings.
  • Customer operations: Ensure seamless payments, roaming, and support workflows with CS partners; track NPS and resolve escalations fast.
  • Vendors & contracts: Manage OEMs, EPCs, facilities, and SLAs; negotiate performance remedies and continuous improvement.
  • Budgets & KPIs: Own OpEx, inventory, and service contracts; publish weekly/monthly ops scorecards and forecasts.
  • People & scale: Hire, coach, and develop high-performance teams; set SOPs, training, and safety culture.
What you’ll bring
  • 10+ years leading multi-site operations (EV charging, power/utilities, telecom towers, fuel retail, or critical facilities).
  • Proven Philippines experience running 24/7 field ops with vendors/contractors and utilities (e.g., Meralco/other DUs; NGCP exposure a plus).
  • Hands-on with OCPP backends, CMMS/ticketing, SCADA/IoT monitoring, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong EHS mindset; track record in incident prevention and compliance.
  • Financial rigor on OpEx, spares, SLAs, and service contracts.
  • Builder mentality, clear communicator; fluent English (Filipino a plus).
  • Nice to have: PMP/Lean Six Sigma, Professional Electrical Engineer, or similar credentials.

  • First-time-fix rate, parts turns, and maintenance cost/port on target
  • Time to commission and defect-free handover
  • NPS/CSAT improvement and churn reduction
