Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing across the APAC region, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and completeness. This hands-on, individual contributor role manages the end-to-end payroll cycle—including preparation, distribution, processing, and reporting—while ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate brings deep regional payroll expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset for identifying process improvements. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, addressing all payroll and timekeeping inquiries within the APAC region.

What You’ll Do
  • Own payroll processing across Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand—and more as we grow.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax filings, and social contributions.
  • Be the go-to expert for payroll queries, policies, and timekeeping support.
  • Collaborate with People Ops to elevate the employee experience.
  • Manage bonuses, commissions, and termination payments with precision.
  • Continuously improve payroll processes and documentation.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of APAC payroll experience (Australia + one other country preferred).
  • Expertise with Workday, Deel, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English (bonus points for additional APAC languages).
