About Our Client

The client is a growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company that provides a range of services from call centre and customer service to software development, with a focus on people and culture.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Junior Controller are:


  • Overseeing Accounting Operations: Manages all daily accounting functions, including expenses, fixed assets, leasing, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.

  • Managing Subsidiary Accounting: Supervises accounting activities for subsidiaries and works directly with third-party accounting firms.

  • Ensuring Financial Accuracy: Reviews and analyzes intercompany accounts, posts subsidiary trial balances, and performs variance analysis to ensure the integrity of financial data.

  • Handling Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepares monthly and year-end financial reports, ensures compliance with US GAAP, and manages audits and filings for subsidiaries.

  • Improving Processes: Leads continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing solutions to enhance accounting processes and provides support for various ad hoc projects.


The Successful Applicant


The successful candidate for the Junior Controller role will have:


  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree or CPA certification being a plus.

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a BPO or service company, and a background with an international company is a must.

  • Must have a strong grasp of US GAAP, financial controls, and working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports.

  • Needs to be able to work effectively with all levels of management and motivate others outside of their direct control.

  • Possesses strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities and a flexible attitude towards changing priorities.
