An Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Core responsibilities include:
Design & Planning – Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications for power distribution, control systems, and automation.
Installation & Commissioning – Supervise and support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment such as motors, drives, switchgear, and control panels.
3.Maintenance & Troubleshooting – Ensure continuous plant operations by conducting inspections, diagnosing electrical issues, and implementing corrective and preventive maintenance.

Automation & Control Systems – Manage and optimize PLCs, SCADA systems, and motor control centers for process efficiency and monitoring.
Safety & Compliance – Enforce compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations, while conducting risk assessments and implementing protective measures.
5.Project Management – Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver electrical projects on time and within budget.

6.Documentation & Reporting – Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, as-built drawings, and operational manuals for future reference.
Innovation & Improvement – Recommend upgrades, energy-efficient solutions, and technology improvements to enhance system performance.

*Educational Background
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
*Licensed/Registered Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE/RPEE) or Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) depending on country regulations (required/preferred).

3.Postgraduate studies, certifications, or specialized training in Power Systems, Automation, or Control Engineering (advantage).
Professional Experience

3+years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering, preferably in industrial plants, utilities, or water/wastewater treatment facilities.

Proven track record in design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and control equipment.

Experience in managing large-scale electrical projects, including commissioning and upgrades.

Hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, VFDs, and motor control systems.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar).

Strong knowledge of power distribution, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and protection systems.

Skilled in preventive/predictive maintenance strategies for motors, pumps, and instrumentation.

Familiarity with local and international electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).

Knowledge of renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, and modern automation technologies (preferred).

Soft Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Ability to mentor junior engineers and technical staff.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary teams.

High level of safety awareness and regulatory compliance.

Certifications (Preferred/Optional)

Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.

OSHA/Electrical Safety Certification.

Specialized training in SCADA/PLC programming, energy audits, or industrial automation.
