We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Accountant with extensive knowledge of AppFolio and QuickBooks Online to join our team. This role is crucial in managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and providing valuable financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, be detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting functions for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Utilize AppFolio to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports. Maintain and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate financial data. Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review. Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and applicable regulations. Collaborate with property managers and other team members to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements Proven experience in Real Estate Accounting Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio (required). Strong QuickBooks Online skills with proven track record of accurate bookkeeping. In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
