ABOUT THIS ROLE We are looking for an Accounting Manager with solid US Accounting and Tax experience. This role is ideal for someone who has moved beyond junior responsibilities and is confident handling end-to-end accounting and tax compliance for a diverse range of US clients. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Team Management: Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to the service team. Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives. Facilitate professional development and training opportunities for team members. Operational Oversight: Ensure that all accounting, payroll, and sales tax preparation tasks are completed accurately and on time. Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet client needs and deadlines. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and consistency. Client Service: Maintain strong relationships with clients and Client Success Managers, who act as the main point of contact with clients. Address and resolve client issues and concerns promptly and effectively. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service and meet client expectations. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Leverage technology to streamline operations and enhance service delivery. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and productivity. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. Conduct regular quality reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures. Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of service. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of team activities, client interactions, and service outcomes. Prepare regular reports on team performance, client satisfaction, and operational metrics. Document and share best practices, lessons learned, and success stories. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Possess 5-7+ years of proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax preparation, or related fields Previous experience managing a team, preferably in a remote setting. Strong understanding of US accounting principles, payroll processes, and sales tax regulations. Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Avalara, ADP (Preferred) WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
