We are looking for a Technical Director for Wind to join our Energy Group, a vital role in our Future Energy step-up.
What You’ll Do:

• You will lead and drive the technical management and delivery of renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on onshore wind (offshore wind experience is a plus).
• The role involves providing high-quality technical input across the full lifecycle of wind farm projects—from development (prospecting, site selection, resource monitoring, yield assessment, layout design, feasibility studies) to design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
• You will also support the growth and development of the Future Energy group, including business development efforts in the Philippines.
• You may also contribute to power generation opportunities including BESS, solar, substations, and transmission design.
• Client Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure project success and high satisfaction.
• Business Development: Drive new and repeat business in the Philippines Region; prepare proposals and bids; collaborate with Market and Business Group Leaders across disciplines (Environment, Advisory, PM).
• Project Management: Lead Wind and multidisciplinary projects as Project Director/Manager or Technical Lead; ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
• Provide technical leadership and QA/QC oversight.
• Share knowledge and contribute to GHD’s global expertise.
  

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
• At least 8 years of design experience in onshore wind development, including: Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) Micro-siting and layout optimization
• Proficiency in wind analysis tools such as: WindPro, WAsP, WindFarmer, OpenWind, Windographer, and CFD tools like WindSim.
• Consulting experience is a plus, especially in: Preparing technical reports, Writing and winning proposals, and client engagement and stakeholder coordination
  

This position is also open to expatriates with reputable experience in the market in the Philippines, under an international local hire arrangement.
This job offer can be based either in Makati or in our Quezon City office, depending on your home base / location.
