We are looking for a professional to manage the setup, maintenance, and reconciliation of our clients’ benefit and retirement plans, as well as worksite employee level benefit policies. Work Arrangement : Hybrid Schedule : Night shift Job Description The Benefit Specialist is responsible for the set‑up, maintenance, and reconciliation of the company's clients’ benefit and retirement plans, and worksite employee level benefit policies; including pre‑ and post‑tax deductions, dependent information, and deferred deductions that are applicable for each worksite employee. This position requires technical knowledge on multiple payroll systems. Perform data entry on multiple payroll systems. Timely set‑up of health benefit plans at the carrier/plan level for Medical, Dental, Life, Vision, Short‑ and Long‑Term Disability, and others as requested. Timely set‑up of health benefit policies at the worksite employee level for pre/post‑tax deductions for all benefit categories and retirement accounts. Monthly reconciliation of carrier statements to employee level plan and deduction data. Ensure employee status changes, enrollments, and terminations are made timely so coverage is correct and employees are billed accordingly. Set up, maintain, and report on federally mandated information (ACA) for all applicable employee files. Assist with the planning and execution of the open enrollment process. Provide information and reports to management as requested. Escalate problems or issues and present remedy recommendations to the benefit manager. Assist with technical system problems or updates – liaison for benefits issues with software vendor and/or carrier. Develop and maintain business and personal relationships with employees and management. Attend and participate in work‑related meetings as requested. Maintain COBRA administration for clients and employees. Qualification and Requirements Associate degree in a related field or equivalent business experience in benefits administration. Detail oriented – accurately add, delete, and modify detailed data. Teamwork – contribute to a positive team spirit and support collective success. Business acumen – research and understand managerial decisions, benefits industry trends, and maintain cost efficiency. Ethics – work with integrity and uphold organizational goals and values. Computer skills – knowledge of the PEO Payroll system, spreadsheets, presentations, and word processing software. Language skills – read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Mathematical skill – calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages. Regular and reliable attendance – adhere to the company's attendance policy and use Paid Time‑Off Benefits as provided. Handling confidential information – protect sensitive data in accordance with the company's confidentiality policy. Keyboard/typing – high volume of keyboard use with accuracy and speed. Meeting deadlines – ensure employee benefit plans and related deductions are entered in a timely manner.
