Lead/Senior Consultant for Business Intelligence and Analytics - WFH Job Openings Lead/Senior Consultant for Business Intelligence and Analytics - WFH About the job TASQ is currently looking Lead and Senior Consultants for Power BI and Analytics. The work shift runs from 5pm to 1am and is fully remote. Key Responsibilities Engage with clients to identify reporting needs through discovery meetings Advise clients on Power BI licensing options, explaining the benefits and limitations of each Develop efficient star schema data models, including calculated columns and measures Build Power BI solutions by importing data from diverse sources, creating reports, dashboards, and data elements using DAX and source queries Support clients in deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service, including setting up gateways, DirectQuery, data flows, and data refreshes Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience Over 5 years of experience with data and business intelligence solutions using Microsoft tools (SSRS, Power BI, PowerPivot, PerformancePoint) or other BI platforms (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Qlik, SAP) Proficiency in TSQL, data modeling, and reporting with Power BI or similar tools Proven experience designing comprehensive Power BI reports with interactive features, drilldowns, and nested parameters Expertise in creating dynamic measures with advanced DAX Knowledge of data mashups and transformations using Power Query/M Hands‑on experience with Databricks for developing and streamlining data workflows Ability to select appropriate visualizations and design interactive report interfaces Skilled in gathering requirements and conducting focus groups to improve business processes Professional Skills Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive attitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at working with both technical and non‑technical audiences Enthusiasm for learning new technologies Strong analytical problem‑solving skills, leveraging technology to address business challenges Capable of performing effectively in fast‑paced environments Preferred Additional Experience Managing Power BI tenants and workspaces for development, testing, and deployment Creating custom visualizations and analytics using Python or R within Power BI Advanced SQL skills, including query tuning Experience in data quality assessment Deploying Power BI solutions on‑premises via Power BI Report Server Using Power BI Embedded for embedding reports Implementing cloud‑based Power BI solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database Job Summary Effective use of Power BI relies on high‑quality data. We are seeking experienced lead consultants with expertise in Power BI and data management. Candidates should possess advanced knowledge of Power BI and its data components, including PowerQuery/M, DAX, and dimensional modeling, along with basic report design skills. Familiarity with SQL Server (including data warehouse architecture, SSIS, SSRS) and DirectQuery is advantageous. Additionally, understanding Power BI licensing options and advising clients on optimal licensing solutions is essential. Experience with Databricks for developing and optimizing data pipelines and workflows is required. Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with clients, their teams, and technical specialists such as database developers and software engineers.
