Direct message the job poster from BOSS Solutions We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with payroll experience using Paylocity to support prominent U.S.-based companies and non-profit organizations by ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient payroll processing. While exact responsibilities vary by role, you will manage a variety of accounting tasks, ensure compliance with GAAP and FASB standards, and contribute to the financial health and transparency of the organization’s operations. You will work directly with the organization’s CFO, Controllers and Senior Management. Our Back Office Accountants of today will become the Lead Accountants, Accounting Managers, and CFOs of tomorrow Responsibilities Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting or related role. Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Experience in school payroll is an advantage. Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations. Prepare, review, and maintain payroll records, tax reports, and related accounting documentation. Maintain payroll records, employee data, and timekeeping information. Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime pay. Prepare and file payroll-related tax reports and remittances. Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate general ledger postings. Handle inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and pay discrepancies. Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes. Coordinate with HR and Finance departments on payroll adjustments and employee movements. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax rules, and statutory requirements. Assist with audits and prepare payroll-related reports as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting or related role. Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar). Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting software. Experience in school payroll or educational institutions is an advantage.
