Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a team of accounting staff, including accountants, bookkeepers, and accounting assistants.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to management to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role.
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and/or Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
