Position Overview: We are seeking skilled HVAC and Plumbing Takeoff Specialists to support our pre‑construction and estimating teams. The ideal candidates are detail‑oriented, experienced with digital takeoff tools, and knowledgeable in their respective trade systems. You will review project plans, perform material and labor quantity takeoffs, and assist in preparing accurate bid documentation. HVAC Takeoff Specialist Key Responsibilities Review HVAC plans, mechanical drawings, and specifications Perform detailed HVAC quantity takeoffs (ductwork, piping, equipment, vents, diffusers, fittings, insulation, etc.) Use takeoff software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Trimble) to document materials Prepare spreadsheets and submit results to estimators Coordinate with estimators to clarify project scope Assist with vendor quotations and pricing updates Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred 2+ years of HVAC estimating or drafting experience Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and standards Proficient in blueprint reading and digital takeoff software Excellent organizational, math, and communication skills Preferred Experience with commercial and residential HVAC projects Familiarity with US construction standards Plumbing Takeoff Specialist Key Responsibilities Review plumbing drawings, riser diagrams, and project specs Perform complete plumbing material takeoffs (pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, supports, DWV systems) Prepare accurate quantity sheets using digital takeoff tools Support estimators with bid summaries and vendor communication Track plan revisions and maintain organized records Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline preferred 2+ years of plumbing estimating, drafting, or field experience Strong understanding of plumbing systems and materials Proficiency in reading plumbing plans and using takeoff software Strong analytical and documentation skills Preferred Experience with domestic water, waste, and vent systems Fire sprinkler or gas line estimating a plus Knowledge of US codes and submittal requirements Bonus Skills for Both Roles Experience in MEP trades Familiarity with estimating databases/assemblies Understanding of labor and material pricing How to Apply Please send your resume and cover letter to with the subject line: "HVAC Takeoff Specialist Application" or "Plumbing Takeoff Specialist Application". #J-18808-Ljbffr
