QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably in a commissary or multi-unit restaurant operation.At least 2-4 years experience.
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, bakery production, and dessert presentation.
Ability to manage high-volume production without compromising quality.
Solid understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead, plan, and supervise the production of all pastry, bakery, and dessert items for the group’s restaurant brands.
Develop and standardize recipes, portion guides, and production procedures to maintain consistency and cost efficiency.
Innovate and introduce new pastry concepts in line with seasonal trends, brand identity, and guest preferences.
Manage a team of pastry chefs, bakers, and support staff, ensuring proper training, motivation, and performance management.
Oversee inventory, purchasing, and cost control of ingredients and supplies, ensuring minimal waste.
Collaborate with restaurant operations teams to plan menus, forecast demand, and coordinate
Prepare and manage the pastry department’s budget, ensuring productivity and profitability.
Stay updated with industry trends, ingredients, and techniques to keep offerings fresh and competitive.
Directly reports to the Executive Chef.
