Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Retail) Work Arrangement: Fully Remote Target Start Date: November 10, 2025 Work Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) Aligned with U.S. business hours (night shift in PH). About the Role The Accounts Payable Specialist (Retail) is responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process for a retail business. This includes invoice processing, validation of purchase orders and units of measure, ensuring proper routing and approval workflows, and supporting month-end closing activities. The role requires a strong attention to detail, familiarity with retail operations, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Review, validate, and process vendor invoices with attention to pricing, quantities, and units of measure (UOM). Enter and code invoices accurately into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with established controls and routing protocols. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to clarify invoice details and resolve discrepancies. Route invoices through the appropriate approval workflow and ensure timely authorization. Maintain accurate records of all invoice and vendor transactions. Prepare and update the vendor notification list for payment requests received. Support the accounting team with month-end close activities and audit requirements, if necessary. Assist in process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within a retail or multi-location business. Solid understanding of invoice processing, units of measure (UOM), and approval workflows. Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar). Strong analytical and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
