Job OverviewPayroll Officer , you will ensure accurate payroll processing, support financial reconciliations, and handle compliance activities while contributing to a collaborative finance team. Your work will be essential in maintaining efficiency, integrity, and smooth operations.

- Proven ability to complete tasks responsibly and reliably, independently and within a team
- Strong communication skills with openness to giving and receiving feedback
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High attention to detail in regular and complex financial transactions
- Foundational ability in financial reconciliations
- Understanding of complex processes, technical systems, and programs
- Relevant knowledge for the role, including financial and accounting concepts (GST, debit, credits)
- Foundational understanding of not-for-profit operations in Australia
- Align tasks and deliverables to the mission and strategy of the organization
- Manage work effectively to contribute to team results and achievements
- Demonstrate and uphold the values and behaviors of the organization
- Collaborate within the finance team, ensuring timely communication of results
- Prepare and coordinate compliance activities related to payroll
- Execute financial processes, including accounts payable/receivable, income, and bank reconciliations
- Independently manage recurring processes and ensure timely completion
- Handle physical finance mail and banking duties, reporting discrepancies
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties consistent with the role as required
