Provide accurate, timely accounting support across the Group so the Finance Manager can focus on strategic finance, business partnering, and growth. Key Responsibilities: Accounts payable & receivable Enter supplier invoices for NZ/UK/US with correct coding and supporting documentation; maintain vendor master data (incl. US W-9 and regional equivalents). Set up and load supplier payments across NZ banking, UK bill‑pay, and US bill‑pay platforms; ensure approvals follow policy. Maintain accurate customer invoicing records; coordinate with Operations on dispatch/invoicing timing. Reconcile order‑to‑cash data flows: SPS → Unleashed → Xero (US) and Unleashed ↔ Xero (all entities) on a monthly cadence; resolve variances. Follow up overdue accounts in coordination with Operations; keep notes current. Match inventory‑related supplier bills to POs in Unleashed with the Production Manager. Banking, cards & cash Reconcile all bank accounts daily for every entity. Manage corporate card reconciliations weekly; collect receipts and ensure accurate coding. Payroll & employee expenses Prepare payroll inputs and checks for NZ & US in line with policy and statutory requirements. Process staff expense claims; administer US health‑insurance reimbursements. Month‑end close support Prepare (and where authorised, post) journals for accruals, prepayments, and intercompany. Maintain the fixed‑asset register and depreciation schedules. Reconcile assigned balance‑sheet accounts and assist with inventory reconciliations. Provide accurate source data and reconciliations for monthly management accounts and Group consolidation. Liaise with Operations on US deduction management and supporting documentation. Compliance & process improvement Assist with GST, VAT, and US sales‑tax returns (as applicable). Support external audits and ad‑hoc reviews. Maintain clear SOPs for key finance workflows; suggest improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency. Systems & tools Operate the Group's finance, payroll, procurement, and reporting systems (e.g., Xero, Unleashed, SPS, regional bill‑pay, payroll). Monitor data integrations and flag issues promptly. Qualifications / Skills: Must‑haves Solid bookkeeping across AP/AR, bank/card reconciliations, and month‑end basics in a multi‑entity environment. Strong attention to detail and follow‑through; clear written and verbal communication. Comfortable collaborating with Operations, Production and areas of the business outside of Finance. Nice‑to‑haves Experience with Xero and Unleashed. Exposure to FMCG and/or e‑commerce. Familiarity with SPS/EDI and multi‑jurisdiction tax (GST/VAT/US sales tax). What's in it for you?
