What to expect in a "Technical Recruiter" role: You will lead in identifying and attracting IT, Data Science/Analytics, and Digital talents to TaskUs. You will manage end-to-end talent delivery from sourcing to onboarding and post-hire support. You will act as a business partner and SME, delivering top-notch candidates in a time-sensitive manner.
Responsibilities- Partner with Hiring Leaders to build an effective sourcing, assessment, and onboarding approach and manage expectations with an understanding of urgency.
- Prepare and contribute proactive status reports and drive conversations on hiring progress for active searches.
- Build rapport and entice passive candidates from profiles that align with the company culture described in leadership principles.
- Maintain a talent network through proactive market research and relationship management; conduct in-depth interviews and screen candidates within relevant timelines.
- Develop research to map markets, generate candidate names and profiles, and create robust search strategies to attract top talent, calibrating candidates before interviews.
- Contribute to the knowledge base by sharing information about industries and talent pools.
- Articulate recruiting plans with deliverables, timelines, and formal progress tracking in writing.
- Sourcing Candidates
- Proactively search for and engage potential candidates through channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a pool of candidates for future hiring needs.
- Candidate Screening
- Review resumes and portfolios to assess technical qualifications.
- Conduct initial screenings to evaluate technical skills, culture fit, and interest in the role.
- Schedule and conduct technical interviews, possibly including technical assessments or coding challenges.
- Collaborating with Hiring Managers
- Define job requirements and create compelling job descriptions with hiring managers and team leads.
- Advise on the competitive landscape and refine role specifications and candidate expectations.
- Managing the Full Recruiting Lifecycle
- Guide candidates through the interview process, provide feedback and support at each stage.
- Present offers and negotiate compensation packages.
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- Building Relationships
- Foster relationships with potential candidates for future opportunities.
- Engage in employer branding to promote the company as an employer of choice within the tech community.
- Tracking and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of recruiting activities in the ATS.
- Monitor metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality to improve processes.
- Required Experience
- Proven experience (3+ years) in recruiting for technical roles, including software developers, engineers, and other IT-related positions.
- Experience with recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and familiarity with technical screening tools.
- Full cycle recruiting experience.
- Required Skills
- Strong understanding of technical roles, technologies, and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby, DevOps, cloud computing).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage candidates and hiring teams.
- Ability to assess candidates’ technical skills through interviews, coding challenges, or assessments.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple roles.
- Experience with ATS like Greenhouse, Lever, or Workday.
- Knowledge of modern recruiting trends and employer branding strategies.
- A degree in HR, Business, Computer Science, or related field (optional but beneficial).
- Familiarity with technical certifications or industry-specific skills (optional).
