UX/UI Designer

Skills & Experience Requirements:

Core UX Competencies (Research + Interaction Design + User Experience)
● 3+ years designing user experiences for web or SaaS products.
● Strong command of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility fundamentals.
● Ability to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive user journeys, user flows, and interaction patterns.
● Experience conducting user interviews, usability tests, heuristic evaluations, and synthesizing insights into actionable design improvements.
● Skilled in creating wireframes, low/high-fidelity prototypes, information architecture, personas, and task flows.
● Ability to define UX requirements, acceptance criteria, and design rationale in clear documentation.

UI & Visual Design (Figma / Design Systems / High-Fidelity UI)
● 3+ years of hands-on UI design experience, preferably in SaaS or B2B platforms.
● Expertise in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent tools for UI design and prototyping.
● Ability to produce polished, pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces aligned with modern design standards.
● Strong grasp of typography, spacing, grid systems, color theory, icons, component styling, and UI animation/micro interactions.
● Experience designing and maintaining design systems, style guides, and reusable component libraries.
● Ability to translate UX concepts into refined, visually consistent UI solutions. Prototyping, Handoff & Collaboration (Cross-functional teamwork)
● Experience preparing developer-ready design assets, redlines, and component specs.
● Familiarity with design-to-development workflows (Zeplin, Figma Inspect, tokens, component mapping).
● Ability to validate implementation quality and partner with frontend teams to ensure pixel-perfect output.
● Comfortable presenting concepts, design decisions, and progress updates to product managers, developers, and business stakeholders. Research, Feedback Loops & Iteration (User-centered cycles)
● Comfortable running iterative design cycles informed by user feedback, product KPIs, and usability data.
● Experience synthesizing feedback from stakeholders and users into design improvements.
● Ability to benchmark competitor UX/UI patterns and leverage market trends to inform design strategies.
Accessibility & UX Quality (WCAG + usability)
● Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines: semantic structure, color contrast, keyboard navigation, focus states, reduced motion, and accessible patterns.
● Ability to create clear error states, loading states, empty states, and user-friendly microcopy that enhance the experience.

Front-End Familiarity (bonus, not required)
● Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for communicating component behavior and prototyping.
● Awareness of responsive layout behavior, breakpoints, and component constraints in real-world development environments.

Tools, Testing & Workflow (recommended)
● Experience with usability testing tools (Maze, UserTesting, Hotjar, LogRocket, FullStory, or similar).
● Familiarity with analytics tools (GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to inform UX decisions.
● Experience versioning design files and working in Agile/Scrum rituals (standups, sprint reviews, backlog grooming).
● Ability to maintain organized Figma files, component libraries, frames, and prototypes for long-term usability.

Communication & Collaboration
● Excellent written and spoken English for clear UX documentation, design specifications, and team communication.
● Ability to collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and cross-functional teams.
● Strong presentation skills: explaining design rationale, exploring alternatives, and negotiating scope trade-offs.
● Strong ownership of UX quality and consistency across the product.

Time-Zone & Schedule Expectations
● On-site only in Iloilo City, Philippines (no remote work).
● Shift-based schedule across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
● Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across US time zones within the assigned shift.
● Reliable participation in async workflows and documentation-driven communication.
