JOB TITLE: PAYROLL OFFICER
Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll regulations, have experience with both manual payroll systems and HRIS software, and be knowledgeable in mandatory filings in the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Collect and verify employee timekeeping data, including attendance, leaves, and overtime.
Calculate wages, deductions, and other payroll-related items accurately.
Process payroll on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Prepare and distribute pay slips to employees.
Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
HRIS and Manual Systems:
Utilize HRIS software (e.g., [Specify Software if Known, otherwise leave generic]) to manage employee data, process payroll, and generate reports.
Maintain and update employee records in both HRIS and manual systems.
Generate payroll reports for management review and analysis.
Experience in manual payroll processing to serve as backup during system downtime or transition periods.
Mandatory Filings:
Prepare and submit mandatory filings to government agencies, including SSS (Social Security System), Pag-IBIG Fund (Home Development Mutual Fund), PhilHealth (Philippine Health Insurance Corporation), and BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue).
Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations.
Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes.
Employee Support:
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including wages, deductions, and taxes.
Provide excellent customer service to employees and resolve payroll-related issues in a timely manner.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, both electronically and in hard copy.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of employee payroll data.
Other Duties:
Assist with other HR-related tasks as needed.
Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation.
