As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join their Manila-based team on a hybrid work setup. As a Senior Payroll Officer, you are responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing and reporting, as well as partnering with stakeholders to provide expert advice on payroll legislation, policies, and procedures. The role ensures accurate and timely payroll delivery while driving continuous improvement in payroll systems and processes to support compliance, efficiency, and best practices. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with two days onsite and three days working from home. The role is based in BGC, Taguig, with work hours from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT. Key Responsibilities Oversee and deliver the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of the fortnightly payroll cycle. Manage leave reconciliation, deductions, pay adjustments, month-end accounting, and associated payment processes. Develop, implement, and drive strategic direction, performance, and sustainability of the payroll function, ensuring scalability and efficiency. Identify and implement system and process improvements, including cost–benefit analysis, training, and change management support. Produce accurate ad-hoc and scheduled payroll reports to support business needs. Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, providing expert payroll advice and timely query resolution. Partner with the People team to ensure payroll compliance with employment agreements, industry awards, and organizational requirements. Ensure adherence to risk management, governance, audit standards, and payroll-related policies and procedures. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5 years of experience in Australian Payroll with end-to-end payroll processing Excellent understanding of payroll legislative requirements (Awards, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, PAYG, Workers Compensation) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills Knowledge of payroll systems, with exposure to Aurion and Workday (desirable). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; high attention to detail, strong quality control, and effective documentation management.
