A Sales Executive for logistics is responsible for driving revenue by finding new clients and managing relationships with existing ones by promoting the company's logistics and supply chain services. Key duties include generating leads, negotiating contracts, understanding logistics solutions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful service delivery.
Core responsibilities
Business development: Prospecting for new B2B or B2C clients and identifying new business opportunities.
Client relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
Sales and negotiation: Selling logistics services, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets.
Solution selling: Creating and presenting tailored logistics solutions that meet a client's specific needs, often involving cost-benefit analysis.
Internal coordination: Liaising with other departments, such as operations and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Reporting: Providing regular updates and sales reports to management and keeping customer relationship management (CRM) systems up-to-date.
