About the Role:
Our client is looking for an individual with strong organizational skills who has the ability to thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Senior Accountant will assist in executing all aspects of the monthly general ledger close process, the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables and help with special projects. The role will also assist with tasks involving revenue recognition, technical accounting research and SEC reporting. Further, this role will assist with the design, scoping, and implementation of the company's internal controls over financial reporting. Success in this role requires an analytical mindset, self-direction, and a strong work ethic.

Discover your role's exciting challenges and responsibilities:

Key participant of the month-end close process and analytical review over areas of responsibility, and assist with the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliation
Assist with a wide variety of accounting areas, including cash, fixed assets, inventory, lease accounting and insurance
Ensure execution of key controls in compliance with SOX internal controls and documentation requirements
Review customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and sales commissions in accordance with accounting guidance and company policies
Assist with SEC filings including quarterly 10-Q report and the earnings release
Execute test procedures to assess controls for design and operating effectiveness, and gather, analyze, and report data documenting internal control processes
Perform process and control walkthroughs, facilitate process and control documentation updates, identify, and evaluate risks applicable to processes and controls, and their inter-dependencies
Participate in accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
​Participate the quarterly and annual audit processYou're a step ahead if you have:5+ years of experience in accounting or related field
Desire to be part of a high performing team
Interest and/or some knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets
Demonstrated ability to pick up new technology platforms and tools quickly
Able to multitask in a growing, dynamic environment
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
